Startup Weekend(创业周末)于2009年6月份创立于美国，是个非营利组织（NPO）。是美国著名的Global Entrepreneurship Week（全球创业周）里面最成功的创业实践活动之一！旨在全世界范围内通过活动举行来教育帮助创业者，支持社区建设，以及培养未来领袖。我们的任务和职责在于向创业者们传递世界最先进的关于创业的经验教育。
Startup Weekend全球的组织者们都是志愿性组织和服务活动，皆不以营利为目的而举办活动。因此我们的活动需要社会各界的支持和帮助，才能够更好地开展，以服务广大创业者以及当地的创业社区。
因此，我们非常希望有更多社会上的企业和机构加入到活动中来，共同努力，通过创业周末这样的活动来创造一个更好的创业氛围和环境。

Entrepreneurialism and innovation have never been so important in our world, and we are excited to announce that Startup Weekend is coming to Shanghai on Nov. 18-20th during Global Entrepreneurship Week. Our goal is to help foster early stage startup activity in our local community, and we would like to invite COMPANY to be a part of this high-impact event focused not just talking about change, but actually making it happen.
What is Startup Weekend?
Startup Weekend is a 54 hour startup event that provides the networking, resources, and incentives for individuals and teams to go from idea to launch. Get connected with local developers, innovators and entrepreneurs. Build Community. Start Companies. No Talk. All Action. We target the top talent from all walks of life in the local entrepreneurial community and put them in a setting where anything is possible. In the past 2 and a half years, 380+ startups have started, 30,000+ entrepreneurs have been inspired. Some ventures have received funding, moved into local incubator programs, and launched very successful ventures. None of these stats take into account the amazing networking, ongoing professional relationships, and amazing experiences that leave every event.
Who is Startup Weekend?
In conjunction with local facilitators around the world, Startup Weekend is a two-man Non-Profit out of Seattle, WA. Together, we are our own community of passionate entrepreneurs on a mission to help other entrepreneurs and facilitate innovation. Especially as Startup Weekend is just on its beginning in China,we really need your help to support us,to make some impressive events here.
We invite you to join the movement and engage Chinese local startup community, participate and learn more about Startup Weekend, and of course encourage you to help support our efforts in any way you can because we can’t do it without local support.
